The good news is that many of the issues you'll encounter can be resolved without involving a technician or seeking outside help. Repairing a computer will depend on many different things such as the type of computer, the operating system, the accessories used with the computer and much more. This course focuses on the general setup and repair of a desktop PC and although it includes general ways to resolve issues, it focuses primarily on Microsoft Windows (the most used operating system in the world) as an operating system. The famous Ayn Rand once wrote, "Like every human activity, [writing] requires practice and knowledge. But there is nothing mystical about it. Any person who can speak English grammatically can learn to write nonfiction." This is as true today as when Ms. Rand first penned it, and you will find it true for you as well as you begin to venture into the world of writing. Nonfiction writing is the most common and broadly dispersed form of writing known to mankind. Nonfiction is based in truth, experience, events or in all of them. It is what the reporter reports; what the biographer writes; what the course writer explains. Everything that is not imagination and invented by the creative mind is nonfiction. This course is designed to take you beyond the basics and to guide you through the writing process to the finish line. In the course, you will learn how to think like an editor, how to choose your subject matter and examine your competition. You will learn how to structure your writing and what to do when you inevitably hit the infamous "writer's block." If you have basic writing skills and if you follow the course content, you should be ready to submit your writing by the end of the course material. You will know what to do with your article or book when you are finished and how to polish it for presentation to a publisher. Remember, "Writers Write" – so get to writing!

An understanding of algebra is a foundational skill to virtually all topics in higher-level mathematics, and it is useful in science, statistics, accounting, and numerous other professional and academic areas. This course builds a bridge between simple whole-number arithmetic operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and algebra. This course begins by reviewing the basic arithmetic operations and their mutual relationships, and it then goes on to develop an understanding of fractions and how to perform operations on them. Exponents and their properties are then derived, and radicals (and other roots) are presented. This course shows how exponents and roots are related, as well as how these are related to multiplication and division. Throughout this first portion of the course, the use of symbols in place of numbers is introduced and developed, leading to an investigation into variables and algebraic relations in the latter portion of the course. This course also describes how to graph algebraic relations and how to solve simple linear equations. Finally, the course applies these various concepts to geometry by considering some of the characteristics of triangles, rectangles, and circles, and it also applies them to basic probability and statistics. Thus, this course not only provides a fundamental set of algebra skills, but it demonstrates how these skills can be used to study various problems that have real-world applications.

Welcome to "Anxiety Therapy". In today's hyper-stimulated society, more people than ever are suffering from the inability to process stress, trauma- and even daily life with ease. This has led to a sharp increase in anxiety related conditions and has made it necessary for both the common person, as well as professionals to learn about beneficial coping strategies and therapies to minimize the impact. In this course, you will gain a thorough understanding of anxiety in all of its manifestations, as well as learn proven therapies from both traditional and alternative medicine. Focus is placed on the accurate identification of specific anxiety disorders, their probable causes and understanding the specific treatment options for each, which is best able to facilitate good mental and bodily health. When the average person thinks about the term "anxiety," often what may come to mind is a person who worries excessively, or who may have a nervous habit or tick. And while these can be manifestations of anxiety, this type of condition can include symptoms that far exceed general nervousness. If left untreated, some forms of anxiety can venture into the realm of being harmful, or can even lead to accidental death or suicide. Life is fraught with frustrations, stress, and occasional disappointments. It is normal to feel bouts of anxiety at times. However, when the worry or fear becomes constant or immobilizing, it has turned from being a healthy form of caution and self-preservation, to a condition in need of attention. Similarly, a person may have an aversion to something -- such as a snake or specific type of food. However, if that aversion turns into an uncontrollable and irrational fear where they imagine snakes at every turn, or develop an eating disorder, treatment should be sought immediately.
